The colors themselves, the quiet green and orange of a sunset, or the livid glow of a purple-black sky, pregnant with rain clouds, are integral to the effect achieved. The sails reach high into the sky above and the watery reflections dive into the world below, the boats thus becoming a part of both. With just a little imagination, the triangular shapes of brightly colored material rising up against the sky become summits of underwater mountains, finblades of giant sharks, or slabs of ice emerging from polar seas.
