Politino seeks to capture both the visual and the emotional
tenor of a site. His paintings explore a number of themes:
the relationship of water and sky, the particular sensations
of atmosphere and reflected light, and the grandeur of nature
itself. He is able to discern and place on canvas the tiniest
glints and details of dappled light upon foliage or water's
surface, yet still evoke the overall mood of the scene itself.
