Vincenzo Politino's focus is primarily on landscape and subtleties
of coloration. His strong interest in color was developed
in the intense sunlight of his homeland Sicily. Upon moving
to the more moderate climate of northern Italy, he developed
a more restrained and subtle palette. In his most recent series
of paintings of bodies of water, his focus is almost entirely
on the many gradations of blue and green present in the countryside.
